La Llave Hacia La Puerta Del Éxito

No nos puede gustar más la dirección que ha tomado Kaiser Chiefs en su último álbum; añadirle fondo a sus temas y además de contenido social.

Bien es cierto, que no es nada nuevo ver este tipo de música en diferentes bandas y tampoco que las letras deban ser siempre así ya que nos gusta también lo superfluo y ante todo, lo que nos entusiasma es disfrutar con lo que escuchamos en cualquiera de los casos.

Al pensar en protesta, el primero que nos viene a la cabeza es Bob Marley. A nosotros en particular, nos ha acompañado a lo largo de nuestra vida y siempre lo hemos asociado con ese afán de difundir y promulgar el amor y la paz mundial a través su música.

Pero tenemos a numerosos ejemplos de más reciente creación y de géneros diversos con verdaderas obras de arte que hacen emocionarte.

Vemos en los ´90 el Sunday bloody Sunday de los grandiosos U2 apostando por la paz y esta vez, por los 14 fallecidos durante una manifestación independentista irlandesa en 1972, el Domingo Sangriento.

Imagine de John Lennon , Another brick in the wall, de Pink Floyd, pero también más actuales como Ocean Colour Scene y su Better Day, The Strokes con You only live once, Fun con We are young , Sonic Youth o nuestros queridos Arcade Fire, todos ellos con fuertes y claros mensajes, son ideales para explicar este uso de lo social en la música.

Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lady Gaga y Beyoncé entre otras, también lanzan temas con mucha fuerza e impacto social.

Con el título de su último disco Education Education Education and War, que va por esta línea, hacen referencia al discurso de Tony Blair en el 2005 sobre el poder de la educación. Y se crea, además, bajo la influencia de los siete años de recesión y el desespero de la gente ante lo que ocurre no solo a su alrededor sino a nivel mundial.

Cerramos, por tanto, nuestro particular tributo a Kaiser Chiefs con su manifestación de enfado ante estos hechos y, a la vez, claro está, con muchas ganas de conseguir un gran nuevo éxito.

It´s have been a big pleasure to see the new job of kaiser Chiefs, so that they have decided to compose lyrics with a social sense.

We are not interested only on that kind of songs and bands focus on social messages and actually we are proud to dance no sense songs and even some silly pieces, too but from time to time a kind of power grows inside of you when you are seeing a band making a noise with powerful social lyrics.

Well, when we think about protest songs, the first band that comes to our mind is Bob Marley. He is the number one. He live in our hearts from we were teenagers and we have always associated him and his songs with this emulation to spread and to promulgate the love and the world peace through its music.

Lots of new creations from diverse genres of music operate as example to these energetic and influential songs we are talking about today.

Coming from the 90´s Sunday bloody Sunday by the great ones U2 betting for the peace and this time, for 14 deceased during an Irish pro-independence declaration in 1972, Bloody Sunday.

Giving it a different content seen before by them, it refers to the speech of Tony Blair in 2005 on the power of the education. And it is created, also, under the influence of many years of recession and the desperation of the people against the current economic and social situation happening worldwide.

We close, therefore, our particular tribute to Kaiser Chiefs. We present their fifth studio album with a clear react given by these facts and willing to get a great new success.

Bafana Bafana…

…O los muchachos, es el seudónimo del club de fútbol sudafricano (Kaizer Chiefs Football Club) al que hace honor el nombre del grupo, los Kaiser Chiefs.

Banda que lanzó su primer álbum Employment en el 2005 y de éxito internacional, ha mantenido unido a todos los miembros del grupo hasta el 2012 donde su batería, compositor y corista además de ser considerado líder de la formación, Nick Hodgson, se despega de ellos.

No se ha tratado de ningún tipo de conflicto o controversia sino por la sencilla razón de querer dedicarse a otros proyectos.

Lo que sí supuso una gran polémica en su momento, fue la confrontación entre The Killers y los protagonistas de nuestra segunda reseña musical de esta semana en carmen tessa, los Kaiser Chiefs.

Comparaciones infinitas y cotilleos que, con casi toda seguridad, fueron propiciados por la prensa y fans, por una parte, hicieron que el rock tomara relevancia en esa época y, por otra, generar otras no tan buenas consecuencias…

Estas “batallas” entre bandas tampoco eran nuevas y las habíamos visto, por ejemplo, entre Oasis y Blur, The Strokes y The White Stripes o incluso mucho antes con Nirvana y Pearl Jam.

Todo apunta a la coincidencia en el tiempo de su entrada al mercado musical aunque lo hacen unos antes que otros. The Strokes , Elephant, The White Stripes y The Libertines se adelantan y parece que Bloc Party, Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire, los Artic Monkeys, así como los Kaiser Chiefs, aparecen inmediatamente después.

Todos ellos y algunos con más éxito que otros, hacen sonar el rock, el indie, el new wave y el punk con diferentes aunque parecidas mezclas y voces y llenan los conciertos y festivales con un público con muchas ganas de bailar desenfrenadamente.

Algunos de los grupos comentados aterrizan en la escena musical nacional este verano así que, estate atento y ¡no te los pierdas!

… Or the boys, is the pseudonym of the South African FC (Kaizer Chiefs Football Club) and the band, Kaiser Chiefs as football lovers, wanted to honor them using the same name.
Employment was the first album released by the band and till 2012, when Nick Hodgson detached them, they remained attached/together.

Nick was their drummer, backing vocalist, and lyricist and in addition, was considered leader of the group. The origin of his departure was not by an annoyance or any kind of conflict but for the simple reason of wanting to focus on other projects.

However, there was a great controversy; a kind of a battle between The Killers and the protagonists of our second musical review of this week in carmen tessa, the Kaiser Chiefs.

Endless comparisons and gossips that, almost certainly, were prompted by the press and fans, made rock took relevance at that time on the one hand but they also generated other not so good consequences on the other one.

These «battles» between bands were not new and we had seen them, for example, between Oasis and Blur, The Strokes and The White Stripes or even long before with Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Everything points to the coincidence in time for its entry to the music market although some earlier than others. Elephant, The White Stripes, The Strokes and The Libertines went on before and it seems that Bloc Party, Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire, the Artic Monkeys, as well as the Kaiser Chiefs, appeared immediately after them.

Not achieving the same success, all of them play rock, indie, new wave and punk on different ways but using some similar mixtures and voices and also, they are able to fill up gigs and festivals with people hungry to dance wildly.

Some of the groups mentioned before are coming up this summer on the national music scene so that, stay tuned and don’t miss them!

¿Tú también has pensado que hay días buenos y días malos…?

Ya estamos a mitad de semana, ¡enhorabuena! Ahora lo que se lleva es llevar el día lo mejor posible y acordarte de lo bien que has llevado el día anterior.

La energía la llevas dentro y carmen tessa te ayuda a cargar un poco más las pilas o a levantarte el ánimo.

Como ya sabes, nos gusta acompañar la vida de música pero, sobre todo, que lo hagas con nosotros. Aunque este single de su tercer álbum, Off with Their Heads, fue inspirado por un perdedor Leeds United en el 2008 Football League One play-off Final, a nosotros nos gusta entenderlo como un mensaje de calma; que no hace falta que estemos al 100% todos los días y que lo importante es seguir luchando porque ya sabes, solo son algunos días malos…

We throw you up today a single from their third album, Off with Their Heads. The final inspiration for the lyrics came about supporting the Leeds in the 2008 Football League One play-off Final where they lose.

Josef Salvat (nacido el 27 de octubre de 1989) es un cantante y compositor australiano. Tuvo su primer éxito internacional tras el lanzamiento de su EP In Your Prime cuando Sony tomó su cover del tema » Diamonds « de Rihanna para la promoción de la nueva pantalla de televisión HD Ultra de Sony 4K. Salvat ha aparecido en una número de festivales de música importantes, incluyendo el Festival Lovebox en Londres, en los Países Bajos y haciendo colaboraciones con el ingeniero británico , productor discográfico y un mezclador Dan Grech-Marguerat . Salvat has appeared in a number of important music festivals including Lovebox Festival in London, Lowlands in the Netherlands and collaborated with British recording engineer, record producer and mixer Dan Grech-Marguerat. Punching in a dream

The Naked and Famous es una banda rock indie originaria de Auckland, Nueva Zelanda. El grupo fue formado el año 2008, cuando Thom Powers y Alisa Xayalith grabaron dos EPs con el ingeniero Aarón Short, un compañero de estudios en el MAINZ music college de Auckland, y que posteriormente fueron publicados por un sello local independiente. Powers y Xayalith comenzaron a realizar presentaciones en vivo con Ben Knapp (bajo) y Jordan Clark (batería).

The Naked and Famous are an Indie electronic band from Auckland, New Zealand. They formed in 2008 when Thom Powers and Alisa Xayalith recorded EPs This Machine and No Light with engineer Aaron Short, a fellow student at Auckland’s MAINZ music college. The band took their name from a line in the English artist Tricky’s song «Tricky Kid», «everybody wants to be naked and famous», that is ambivalent about the notion of celebrity.

Banda británica formada en 2010, en Londres. Cuenta con un frontman que transmite pura adrenalina, Olly Alexander con Mikey Goldsworthy, poniendo las bases y Emre Turkmen, poderosa arma sintetizadora. Firman con Polydor Records y hacen cosas tan brillantes como ésto.
Real, publicado por Kitsuné enn Febrero del pasado año donde nos termina de enganchar, ¡al máximo!, con la aparición del actor Ben Whishaw de la «movie» Peter and Alice intrepretando a Alexander y el misterioso Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, mostrándonos sus dotes más sexies en un «clip» que hemos visto más de 20 veces… Promise, you won’t regret!!

Dancing all night long

One Day / Reckoning Song (Wankelmut Rmx) es el tema que hemos querido compartir esta semana.
Aunque el original lleva unos años sonando, es el remix producido por Wankelmut el que se lanzó con posterioridad, en el 2012 y con el que se dieron a conocer en el resto del mundo.

El vídeo que os mostramos, preparado para el lanzamiento del single y distribuido por Sony, es una invitación al desenfreno y a la locura nocturna. Sin embargo, más allá del video clip, ha sido el conjunto del éxito el que nos ha marcado y seguirá en nuestras mentes, gustosamente, eso sí.

Músico y cantautor israelí, Asaf Avidan que tras tres álbumes colaborando con The Mojos y mezclando un definido rock, folk y blues, decide abandonar para seguir su carrera en solitario.

Es bien conocido en su ciudad natal aunque logra alcanzar, Avidan y Ori Winokur
(Wankelmut) estar presentes en numerosas listas Europeas. En España llegan a la posición 33 por PROMUSICAE (Productores de Música de España, que representa a la industria discográfica de España).

One Day / Reckoning Song (Wankelmut Rmx) is what we have wanted to share this week.

Although the original a few years playing, it’s the remix produced by Wankelmut which was launched later, in 2012 and which were announced in the rest of the world.

The video we show you today and prepared for the release of the single and distributed by Sony, is an invitation to binge and night madness. However, beyond the video clip, has been the set of the song that has gave us energy and, gladly, its rithms will remain on our head.

Israeli musician and singer-songwriter, Asaf Avidan than after three album collaborating with The Mojos and blending rock, folk and blues, decides to shelve them to pursue his solo career.

Although it is well-known in his hometown, they manage to achieve, Avidan and Ori Winokur (Wankelmut) to be present in numerous European charts. In Spain they reach 33th position by PROMUSICAE (producers of music of Spain, representing the recording industry of Spain).

Red (guitarra), Gold (bajo) y Green (cantante), vienen a carmen tessa para mostrarnos una forma de combinar el hip hop, punk y el indie rock aunque su sello principal lo marca el Go Go, propio de la escena musical de los suburbios del DC de donde deriva todo su arsenal y de donde proceden.

Con los mismos orígenes es de donde procede Dave Grohl, quien decidió trabajar con ellos en la batería en, prácticamente, todo el disco y no solo para el single “I love lamp” para el que fue invitado inicialmente.

El trío, que empezó tocando en su propio sótano, afirma haber disfrutado tanto con Dave y su fuerza como batería, como con Pharrell Williams, colaboración de la que hablaremos en otro post, próximamente.

Es la cuidada combinación de estilos y la profundidad de sus letras, además de su más que activa puesta en escena la que les está haciendo arrasar.

Tras el adelanto la semana pasada, continuamos el fin de semana con uno de sus primeros solos debut I love Lamp. Tema que ha sido utilizado para un evento de una famosa compañía de juguetes; ha aparecido en programas de TV y en magazines musicales como el Rolling Stones.

Antes del fin de semana… un poco de Milky Chance

Tocando otros estilos y con mucho arte para combinarlos, os traemos hoy a Milky Chance, un dúo alemán que seguro os dejará un buen sabor de boca.

Pop, folk, rock, reggae y una elegante electrónica es lo que nos traen este par de amigos.

Empezando como muchos otros, Stolen Dance, el single que os presentamos, lo lanzaron online en Abril del año pasado 2013 y alcanzó el número 1 en las listas de países como Austria, Francia, Suiza, Polonia, República Checa y Hungría. En España llegó a la posición 18º por PROMUSICAE (Asociación que representa a la industria discográfica de España).

Clemens Rehbein y Philipp Dausch y su disco Sadnecessary, publicado y promocionado por su propio sello Lichtdicht Records y por sus páginas de facebook, han contagiado a millones de personas.

Playing several and differents genres and combine them with stylish, today we show you Milky Chance, a german duo who leaves you a good taste in the mouth.

Pop, folk, rock, reggae and a refined electronic it’s what these friends bring us up.

Like many other bands have done, their debut single Stolen Dance, was released online in April 2013 and reached number one in Austria, France, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary. Here in Spain, got up to 18º position by PROMUSICAE (a trade group representing the Spanish recording industry).
